Twyla and Kay will guide you through various styles of group exercise: warm-up, gentle restorative mat work and A.R.T. Aerobic, Resistance, Training.. You’ll see how WholyFit provides a foundation and process for doing group exercise as fitness ministry in the church, gym, personal training studio and other community locations so that you can consider how to develop or retool your own group exercise offerings.

Session 08: Training And Staffing Spiritually-Minded Fitness Professionals

The demand for fitness and wellness professionals capable of meeting spiritual needs is rising and is expected to continue in coming years in both the public and private sectors. The education, training and hiring of faith-centered staff is critical for fitness businesses to attract and retain members wanting personal development, ritual, accountability, discipline and community. Dr. Roberts will share how he blends his years of experience in education and fitness with faith to create an innovative faith-centered fitness curriculum for the new generation of ministry-driven fitness professionals. He will teach you how to identify, hire, train and motivate them to meet the health/fitness and ministry needs of clients/members. He will illustrate the impact that faith-centered fitness is already making by sharing employee’s and employer’s personal testimonies.
